Main window intended for browsing through glossary.
It consists of word list, topic area, search box and toolbar. Also, there are history buttons under topic area (backward and forward).
Type a word in the search box or select it from the list. The topic area
displays topics from each dictionary where the selected word is present.
If you press "ALT+ENTER" or "CTRL+F" in search box then Artefact Dictionary will try to find similar words. Results will be available at "Search results" tab.
To close dictionary window press "ESC" or "ALT+F4".
The toolbar contains following functions:
- Stay on top.
- Paste from clipboard to search box.
- Copy from search box to clipboard.
- Pronounce current word.
- Search for similar words.
- Settings dialog.
- About Artefact Dictionary.
- Help.
To get an explanation of a word in the current topic double-click it by the right mouse button or left-click at the word and select "Find selected" command in pop-up menu.
To copy whole topic in the clipboard select text and than press Ctrl+C or use "Copy all" command from pop-up menu.
To open dictionary window left-click at tray icon or right-click at icon and select "Open Dictionary" from menu or you can use hotkeys for this.
If the searched word can't be found exactly then Artefact shows the nearest topic by the alphabet.
You can select (or create) a color scheme for representation of dictionary topic.
